About
One stone, cut properly
We came up as producers — our own quarry, our own saws. That is still how we read a block and a drawing. Today we source, cut and ship Turkish basalt to project dimensions, worldwide.
The stone
Basalt is volcanic and dense — low water absorption, frost resistant, hard enough for streets that take lorries. It is specified where a surface has to last decades under footfall, frost and cleaning machines, and where a consistent dark grey is wanted rather than the variation of granite.
The work
Blocks are sawn on gang saws under continuous water, then finished to one of six surfaces. Non-standard dimensions are cut to the architect's drawing rather than sold from stock, which is why most of what leaves the yard is made to order.
The shipment
Orders leave banded and palletised, by the pallet or the full container, with the test report and declaration of performance in the file. Delivery terms are agreed per order — FOB from the Turkish port, CIF to yours, or DAP to the site.
